I’ve had so many amazing, intense, awe-inspiring, challenging, inspirational, and emotional experiences. By the end of the day, I’ve had NO chance to post and only just enough energy to pull the covers back to get into bed, rather than collapse on it!

I came to Peru to immerse myself in a new culture.
Understanding what it feels like to be miles away from home while learning a language as a beginner will help me support our students at Empower Her English. Experiencing this first-hand allows me to better address the emotional and practical challenges faced by so many.
Improving my skills in teaching a second language through learning from experts, I can bring advanced and effective teaching methodologies to Empower Her English. This will enable us to offer higher-quality instruction and innovative strategies to our students, enhancing their learning experience.
Experiencing the challenges of learning in a new country has helped me develop resilience and adaptability, which are essential qualities for teaching and supporting our students as they navigate their own language learning journey. By learning to teach with minimal resources, I can develop and implement cost-effective teaching strategies that make language learning more inclusive and achievable for all our students.
Improving my Spanish will enable me to better communicate and connect with Spanish-speaking students.
